Summers 1983 - 1990...

Started working in commercial construction at age 15 as a laborer and carpenter’s apprentice, under my grandfather, a commercial superintendent.  Promoted to lead carpenter by age 20.  Worked for J.A. Metze & Sons, Inc., Ruscon Construction and Hill Construction on commercial construction projects.

Graduated the Citadel with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.

1990 - 1991…

Started a residential repair company, specializing in remodeling, additions, and repairs.  Earned my SC Residential Builders License in 1992.

1991 - 1994…

Worked as a Project Estimator and Assistant Project Manager for J.A. Metze & Sons, Inc., Columbia, SC.  Projects built were schools and churches.

Formed a construction company upon receiving my SC General Contractors License, under the name G. Meetze Construction, LLC.  I specialize in development, design, site work and construction for commercial retail space, office space, and restaurants.  I also specialize in custom homes.  I enjoy designing and building challenging projects with unique designs.
